As part of strengthening the research ecosystem at KMCT Group of Institutions and creating a conducive environment for faculty, doctoral scholars, and student researchers to engage in high-quality, scientifically rigorous, and socially relevant research, KMCT has officially released its Research Policy. This policy was formulated by the Directorate of Research and released by the esteemed Chairman, Dr. Navas KM. One of KMCT’s core visions is to bring forth innovation and enable breakthrough discoveries through research. To support this, the management has committed to providing researchers with financial assistance, mentorship, and infrastructural support. The Research Policy outlines these initiatives in detail and sets the roadmap for impactful research at the institutions under KMCT. The official release of the Research Policy took place on Wednesday, 30th July 2025, at KMCT Medical College. The event was led by Dr. Navas KM, Chairman of KMCT Group of Institutions, and was attended by Dr. Ayisha Nazreen, Executive Trustee and Director, Dr. Vijish Venugopal, Chairman of the Directorate of Research, Mr. Sahil Moidu, Assistant Director, as well as principals from all KMCT institutions, members of the Directorate of Research, institutional research coordinators, and other important personalities from KMCT Group of Institutions.
The release of the bi-annual newsletter “Innovista”, by the Directorate of Research was also released during the event. Innovista will serve as a platform to showcase the research excellence and achievements across KMCT. The newsletter was officially released by Dr. Aysha Nazreen Executive Trustee & Director. Winners of the naming and logo design contest for the newsletter were also honoured with mementos in recognition of their creative contributions. With the release of the Research Policy and the ongoing efforts of the Directorate of Research, KMCT is taking a major step towards raising its research standards to a global level. KMCT is committed to providing the necessary guidance and support to drive forward meaningful and transformative research across all its campuses.
